What is a home? These days, it seems to be the place in which you keep all of your stuff. How much time do you spend in your home on a weekly basis? How much time do you get to spend doing the things that passion you in life? My guess is not much in either stance. And I know this all too well.
My name is Ashley. I’m a thirty something single mom with a dream. A big dream. A tiny house dream. A dream to ditch large house dwelling life in favor of a smaller, simpler one. In hopes to open up a better, simpler, more enjoyable lifestyle for my daughter and I. We are not beings of material possessions, we are not in need of a huge house to make us feel like we belong. We feel most at home with very little around us, in the most natural of settings, amongst the trees, waters, and mountains that mother nature provides in abundance.
I dream of building our very own tiny home, and documenting and sharing the process along the way. I dream of empowering others who have the desire to enter the tiny house movement do the same.
I grew up an avid outdoorswoman. When my daughter was born, I wanted to share with her my love of the outdoors. And though we were both diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis when she was an infant, and she was later diagnosed with Autism and Epilepsy, I still shared this passion with her. We don’t let any hurdle get in the way of living life in the best way that we can.
Building a tiny home on wheels will allow us to minimize some things that try to get in our way. Such as high costs of living costs, and being bound to a particular spot.
